Cuc Phuong National Park is located in the south about 120 km from Hanoi- established in 1962, it’s one of Vietnam’ s most important nature reserves. Though wildlife has suffered a tragic decline in Vietnam in recent decades. The park’s 222 sq km of primary tropical forest remain home to an amazing variety of plants as a natural botanical garden, including 1667 species of insects from 30 order and 200 families, 137 species of reptiles etc...
Detail Itinerary
Cuc Phuong National Park covers an area of 25,000ha, three quarters of which are limestone mountains. This primeval tropical forest was discovered in 1960, and turned into a national park two years later. Cuc Phuong is famous for dozens of picturesque caves. The most interesting of them is Dong Nguoi Xua (Ancient Man Cave) where stone tools of prehistoric humans were found. The National Park is home to some 2,000 species of flora. It is also home to 262 species of animals, birds and reptiles, including elephants, tigers, deer, flying squirrels, flying lizards and boas.
AM: The bus picks you up at your hotel at 8:00 and departs to Cuc Phuong National Park. It is about 120 kilometers from the south of Hanoi. It takes you 3 hours by bus to get there. We will trek for about 2 hours to admire the primary forest and visiting a one thousand years old tree. Then have lunch in the center of the park.
PM: After lunch we leave the center of the park and on the way out, we will visit the
“Cave of Early Man” (dated back over 7500 years BC). Then, we go to visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center for one hour before taking the bus back to Hanoi.
Tour ends about 4 Pm.
